Why timelines are published as ranges.
MDLaunch publishes timelines as ranges because the underlying systems move on their own schedules, and a fixed date would be a claim about someone else's index.

Two different clocks
Map and listing visibility responds to record changes in weeks: typically 30 to 90 days once profiles are verified and consistent. Search authority is slower and cumulative, compounding over 3 to 6 months as pages are published, linked, and re-crawled.
Reporting them as one number would average two unrelated processes into a figure that describes neither.
Baseline, not benchmark
Every range is reported against the physician's own starting position. A surgeon with an established hospital roster entry and a decade of directory history starts somewhere different from a fellow finishing training, and the same range means different things for each.
MDLaunch does not publish position guarantees. Where a number would require controlling a ranking we do not control, we state the mechanism instead.
